Every year there are new Scandinavian Christmas stars to fall in love with, which of these will be hanging in your home in 2022?
This year, the Swedish interior design brand Scandi Living is launching a stylish Christmas collection with two Christmas stars in varied sizes and designs. Luna is one of them and comes in both plain and spotted. The dotted beauty is an obvious favourite among this year's Scandinavian Christmas stars 2022. Luna has a soft and romantic expression, is made of paper and the adorable dots will be the icing on the cake of your Christmas decor.
The second Christmas star from Scandi Living's collection is Bare, a 2022 Scandinavian Christmas star made from paper and fabric, giving it a beautiful linen look that stands out among this year's new arrivals. Bare lives up to its name and is beautiful in all its simplicity, perfect for those who want more laid back and natural Scandinavian Christmas decor.
Last year, Watt & Veke came up with a true favourite among all their fairy-tale Christmas stars, Lotus, which drew inspiration from the beautiful lotus flower. This year we get to see Lotus dressed in a trendy and calming shade of beige which, if possible, made this star even more beautiful helping Lotus retain its place on the list of our favourite Scandinavian Christmas stars for 2022.
Another beige favourite among this year's Scandi Christmas stars for 2022 is Athena from Watt & Veke. Athena has a less uniform look than Lotus but still has a very soft and romantic expression which really comes through in the beautiful beige tone.
Do you remember the paper stars you folded and cut into different patterns at school? The Siv Christmas star from Watt & Veke, another beauty among this year's Scandinavian Christmas stars, brings to mind those little stars and nostalgia is right on trend for this year. The richly detailed pattern gives Siv a romantic aura that is just as striking whether you choose to illuminate it or not.
Will you choose Siv or Astrid as this year's top Scandinavian Christmas star for 2022?
Like Siv (no. 5), Astrid brings us notes of nostalgia and memories of our childhood. This incredibly sweet Christmas star has an impressive pattern that illustrates fire, stars and snowflakes, which makes you stop, remember and really feel Christmas in your whole body.
Rattan and bamboo have received a boost in our interior design in recent years, therefore it is not entirely unforeseeable that a Scandi Christmas star in 2022 could be made from one of these lovely natural materials. This year it is Globen Lighting that gives us a new favourite in rattan, namely the beautiful star Karin. This Christmas star fits perfectly into a more pared-down, rustic environment and for those who like to have more of a craft look.
For those of you who know your Scandinavian Christmas stars, Oslo will be a familiar name. This now classic Christmas star may not be a complete novelty, but this year Oslo is launched in a stylish shade of grey that makes it qualify among this year's Christmas stars 2022. If you haven't already discovered Oslo from Watt & Veke, let yourself fall in love with this playfully designed star which draws inspiration from Norway's fjords.
(9). A favourite on repeat, Snöblomma Christmas star, Watt & Veke
Okay, a little sneaky we have to admit, but it's not possible to talk about Scandinavian Christmas stars and not give a little lift to Snöblomman from Watt & Veke in its impressive 100 cm. This magnificent star was a new arrival last year but was so popular it ran out before we could even get it on any list, so excuse us while we sneak it into this year's Scandinavian Christmas stars for 2022 so we can all enjoy it a little more.
