A1972 ceiling lamp Ø60 cm from Gubi is part of the Tynell series and is a pendant lamp with a cone-shaped shade made of bamboo that spreads a pleasant light in the room. The shade is made of thin pieces of bamboo wood that are sewn together by hand and then attached to the frame. The fine brass detail underneath the shade adds a little extra character to the otherwise simple shape. This version has a clever construction with a solid brass counterweight that allows you to adjust the height at which the lamp hangs. The original was made of Finnish aspen wood but has in this new production been replaced with bamboo as it has the same quality, strength and flexibility but a more sustainable production.
