Moomin mug 2020 Relaxing

The Vilopaus Moomin mug is Arabia's seasonal mug for summer 2020. The Vilopaus motif is taken from Tove Jansson's 1956 cartoon "Moominvalley Turns Jungle", in which Moominvalley is hit by a heat wave. On the Vilopaus Moomin mug, we see the Moomin family's preparations to spend the night outdoors. Moominmamma loves sleeping outdoors and is happy that she's got the whole Moomin family interested. Little My finds a box of tropical seeds that Moomintroll enthusiastically asks Moominmamma to plant, without thinking about what the consequences might be when they wake up the next day.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the publication of Tove Jansson's first Moomin book, Moomin Characters Ltd has created the #VÅRTHAV campaign in collaboration with the John Nurminen Foundation. By buying one of the products in the Vilopaus seasonal range, you're helping them make the waters of the Baltic Sea cleaner and protect our natural heritage. For every Moomin mug from the Vilopaus range sold, 1 euro (roughly 10 Swedish kronor) is donated, and that's enough to remove about 40 kg of harmful blue-green algae from the water. The campaign's goal is to raise 1 million euros in total.
