The Melt Surface wall/ceiling lamp is an extraordinary lamp from Tom Dixon that was conceived in collaboration with the radical design collective FRONT. When the light is off, the lamp has a sleek, mirror-like finish: however, once the light is switched on, a stunning molten glass interior is revealed that resembles a luminescent meteorite streaking across the sky from galaxies unknown. Light is magically reflected within the pendant lamp because of its transparent metal finish, a lustrous surface forged via vacuum metallization where metal is vaporized to form an ultra-thin metal film on the lampshade's surface. Pairs beautifully with the ceiling pendant lamps from the same series or place alongside a number of Surface lamps in various colours to give your home a unique personal touch. Please note that a light source is not included.
