Stelton is known for their practical and simple design language, which has put them on the forefront of Danish design. Stelton produces a wide range of innovative kitchen products , cutlery, tableware and even decorative designer objects, all with the goal of simplifying life with elegant designs.
Stelton has produced a number of famous design collections through the years, some of which have become true design classics, like the Cylindra series by Arne Jacobsen for example. The most popular products in their assortment include the well-known Stelton vacuum jugs, as well as to-go coffee mugs and practical bread boxes.
One of Stelton’s most successful collaborations was with Erik Magnussen – a collaboration that led to the launch of Stelton’s most iconic product; the Stelton vacuum jug. The jug was launched in 1977 and has since then sold over 10 million times, and is one of Stelton’s best-sellers to this day. The vacuum jug is available in several different colours, and you will also find spare parts for the EM77 vacuum jug here at Nordic Nest.
In order to make sure that your Stelton vacuum jug last as long as possible it is important that you take proper care of it. Make sure to read the manufacturer's instructions before washing or using it.
Stelton has long been a leading name in Danish design, and through the years they have received a numerous awards for their remarkable designs and creations. They have received awards like the famous Red Dot Award, IF Product design award and the Design Plus award to name a few.
The name Stelton is a merge of both the two founder’s names, Stellan and Carton, that founded Stelton in the 1960s. To begin with, Stelton sold trainers and furniture. The big breakthrough came years later when the brand decided to collaborate with Danish Stainless, a small factory specializing in stainless kitchenware. The first product, a sauce boat, was an immediate international success and was quickly followed up by further designs.
The CEO of the time, Peter Holmblad, was one of the biggest driving factors in Stelton’s success. As the stepson to one of Denmark’s leading designers in Denmark, Arne Jacobsen, Holmblad collaborated with Jacobsen to create classics such as the Cylinda range; the first of many designer collaborations.
Stelton has been synonymous with exclusive Danish design for over 50 years, and in particular for design made of stainless steel. Stelton’s vision is to enrich people’s everyday lives with qualitative design that is both innovative and functional. Stelton aims to be a brand that designers strive to work for.
