Lokki fabric

The Lokki fabric was designed by Maija Isola for the Finnish design brand Marimekko. Maija Isola took inspiration for the wavy pattern from a stripy curtain she saw hanging in front of a window. When the sun shone through the curtains, the cast shadow created a similar effect to the Lokki pattern. She created the pattern by simply cutting the wavy form into some colored paper.
