The PH Artichoke first saw the light of day in 1958 when it was designed by Poul Henningsen for the restaurant Langelinie Pavillonen in Copenhagen. The leaves are divided into twelve rows with six leaves in each that are carefully angled so that the fixture is illuminated while providing a symmetrical light distribution.
