Iittala has numerous famous collections. Some of their most popular ones include:

• Alvar Aalto Collection

This collection was born when Alvar Aalto presented his entry in a vase competition held by Iittala. The vase became a symbol not only for Finnish, but also Scandinavian design. All the vases in this collection are made in the Iittala glass factory, mouth blown by some of the best glass blowers in the world. 

• Teema Collection

The Teema Collection is a classic series of tableware of elegant and simplistic design, suitable for every occasion. The various plates, mugs and bowls in this collection are available in a variety of different colours and can easily be combined with other collections.

• Kastehelmi Collection

The Kastehelmi Collection was originally designed in 1964 by the Finnish designer Oiva Toikka. In 2010, Iittala relaunched this famous collection.

In 2019 Iittala's Raami collection was complemented with a new limited-edition glass made exclusively with glass waste from their own production. Iittala's glass factory is one of the first in the world to produce glass entirely from glass waste.

Is Iittala glass dishwasher safe?

Yes, most Iittala glass products are safe to clean in a dishwasher. However, make sure to wipe off water left from the washing procedure, as they can leave unsightly water stains if left to dry on their own.

The history of Iittala

The Finnish designer brand Iittala has achieved fame primarily through their production of glass design objects. The internationally celebrated brand dates back to 1881 when a glasswork was founded in the small village Iittala in southern Finland. In the decades to come they expanded its range with high quality ceramic and metal products.
