With quality textiles in natural materials, Himla offers everything you need to create warm and homely interiors.
In their range you will find, among other things, beautiful bedspreads and throws, as well as soft towels, stylish curtains and practical cloth napkins in a typical Scandinavian design.
Himla’s idea is simple: they want to be an eternal source of inspiration that makes your home more beautiful. They believe that it should be easy to decorate with Himla’s products, and that it should be easy to renew your home.
Himla comes from the initials of the founders Helena Ingvarsson and Marie-Louise Almgren.
In Himla’s assortment, you will be able to find a large selection of quality fabrics that are soft and beautiful – from cushions and rugs to tea towels and tablecloths, here you can choose from designer textiles for every room in the home.
Himla’s products usually have a minimalist design, and the earthy, soft colours are easy to mix and match. For Himla, it is important that you should be able to combine the products from different collections and they therefore place great emphasis on how new colours can fit into the existing products.
Himla’s products are made of beautiful and comfortable natural materials such as linen, silk, cotton and wool.
Linen is often used by Himla and is a material that is easy to care for, durable and has good properties for absorbing and releasing moisture. The material is very breathable and is therefore perfect as bedding. Linen is also a material that over time becomes more beautiful and softer.
Himla strives to always work in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. In 2019, they became one of the few textile companies that are fully GOTS-certified, which means that the collections meet the requirements to be organic and manufactured in a more environmentally friendly way.
Himla was founded in Sweden in the 1990’s by Helena Ingvarsson and Marie-Louise Almgren and initially sold mainly animal print textiles for children. The brand name is derived from the first letters of the founders’ names. When Annica Högström took over the business in 1996, she decided to take a different path. From then on, curtains, rugs and bedding were the focus of Himla’s production.
