This year at Nordic Nest we gave you four new design trends to inspire you - Cultivate, Nurture, Boost and Share. We show you how to create a different Christmas tablescape around each of these four style ideas. Which one will you choose?
All four tablescaping trends are represented here in one long Christmas table setting.
Cultivate is all about bringing the outside in and cultivating your own little nature hub in your home. For this Christmas table setting think deep greens and natural materials. Decorate with sprigs of evergreen, a rustic candle holder makes the perfect centrepiece.
Muted green plates such as the Lake plate from House Doctor pair beautifully with rustic elements such as the butter knife from ERNST and natural linen napkins.
A luxurious linen tablecloth like the Rick tablecloth from Olsson & Jensen, is the perfect backdrop for a Christmas tablescape with lots of natural elements.
Nurture is focused on creating the perfect balance in the home. For this Christmas tablescape think neutral, complimenting shades. Coloured glass is big this year and for Nurture we love a more subtle, opaque style. A centrepiece and tall candle holders add height to the table.
The Freckle porcelain series from Scandi Living with a white linen napkin and the Bistrot cutlery from SABRE Paris make the perfect setting for the Nurture tablescape with their pure white tones and natural materials.
The world of Boost is cosy and luxurious. For this Christmas tablescape think dark, rich tones against a lighter base. Dark coloured glass and playful shapes also play an important role along with natural elements, such as a sprig of fir or even holly.
Opulence is the key word for the Boost Christmas tablescape. Linen napkins in chocolate and cinnamon browns like these seen here from Ferm Living complement and contrast with a dusty pink tablecloth from Scandi Living.
A round tray like the Muuto platform tray in dark red, with the round Lucia advent candle from Broste Copenhagen and sprigs of green fir make the perfect centrepiece for the Boost Christmas tablescape.
The Pilar bowl and plate in moonbeam from Blomus is the perfect neutral complement to the bright candy red and pastel blues on the Share tablescape.
Use a tray like the Cooee tray in sand from Cooee Design to bring together unique items and create your own original centrepiece.
Which Christmas tablescape is your favourite? No matter whether you have been inspired by Cultivate, Nurture, Boost or Share you are sure to have a Christmas tablescape that is as unique as it is homely. We hope you enjoy a very merry Christmas however you choose to celebrate.
