Blue Italian dip bowl

This small and lovely dip bowl is part of the gorgeous Blue Italian Series by Spode. A brilliant way to lay out small sides, sauces and dips for an intimate dinner or festive gathering. The bowl is made from stunning blue and white porcelain, a material first manufactured in England in 1816 where it was adorned with various motifs of the Italian countryside. The border of the pieces came to take on an Imari Oriental pattern as an elegant border for the artistic renderings within.
