Conscious BM3162 chair from Danish Mater is made of an innovative composite material containing recycled plastic as well as fibres from coffee shells or sawdust. The manufacturing technique is patented by Mater and enables more efficient recycling of leftover material from the manufacturing process while reducing carbon emissions. The BM3162 chair was originally designed in 1958 by Børge Mogensen and Esben Klint and is now being re-launched in this updated material.
