The Unikko fabric by Marimekko is a true classic designed by Maija Isola. Unikko was created in 1964 although the founder of Marimekko, Armi Ratia proclaimed a ban on flowers in Marimekko prints. But when Armi Ratia saw the lovely large flowers she changed her mind and the Unikko pattern was taken into production. It became a great success and later an icon of Marimekko!
