The Siirtolapuutarha plate was designed by Sami Ruotsalainen for Marimekko, with a design by Maija Louekari. The design simply radiates the classic Marimekko style that we all know and love. Siirtolapuutarha is Finnish and roughly translated to garden colony, which is exactly where Louekari has taken her inspiration from. The pattern is a floral one, with unexpected details elegantly intertwined.
