The Story behind Målerås Glasbruk AB

The history of the Målerås Glasbruk AB goes back to 1890. At that time, the Swedish town of Målerås was known for the production of glasses and enjoyed great success until the 1970’s, when the entire Swedish glass industry went through a difficult period. In order to secure the future of Målerås, the artist Mats Jonasson bought the traditional glassworks together with the inhabitants of the community.

Today, Målerås glass is appreciated all over the world for its high-quality and artistic glass products.
