VL38 floor lamp from Louis Poulsen provides direct and focused light. The shade has a white-painted inside that offers a pleasant diffusion of the light. It also features an adjustable shade to further optimize light dispersion. The VL38 floor lamp is based on the original table lamp in the same series designed in the late 1930s by Vilhelm Lauritzen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. This was done ahead of the construction of the Radio House in Copenhagen. Today's version has embraced modern advances in lighting technology and energy efficiency with an integrated LED light source while retaining the retro look. The lamp has a timer function for automatic shut-off after four or eight hours. It also features a practical dimming function where you can choose between a stronger and a weaker brightness depending on the occasion. The brass surfaces are untreated and will over time develop a beautiful patina. Consider combining with the table lamp and wall lamp in the VL38 series.
