Misabel yellow Moomin plate with the character Misabel. The motifs featuring Misabel are based on the comic strip Pretend Play from 1956 where Misabel gets a job as a maid with the Moomin family. Misabel, or Misan as she is also called, is a worried character with a neurotic cleaning behaviour. The insecure and depressed Misabel is sensitive to the slightest thing, but with the help of Snorkmaiden, she and her dog Ynk find joy in life.

On the plate, we see Misabel doing the washing up. Moominmamma tells Misabel that she always washes up using rainwater. Misabel looks at the large pile of dishes and notes that it hasn't rained in a long time.
