Blue Italian 5-Piece bowl set

A lovely set of beautiful yet highly practical bowls from the gorgeous Blue Italian Series by Spode. The set includes four bowls that are perfect for enjoying pasta and salad dishes with family and friends, as well as a larger dish that makes a brilliant serving bowl and a stunning centrepiece at the table. The bowls were each crafted from stunning blue and white porcelain, a material first manufactured in England in 1816 where it was adorned with various motifs of the Italian countryside. The border of the pieces came to take on an Imari Oriental pattern as an elegant border for the artistic renderings within.
