Protect your table in style with the Vihkiruusu pattern from the Finnish brand Marimekko. The oilcloth bears the striking Vihkiruusu pattern, a gorgeous floral design full of flowers and leaves that brings to mind thoughts of a gentle summer and everlasting spring. The Vihkiruusu pattern was originally designed by Maija Isola in 1964, but by this time Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, had already announced an all-out ban on floral patterns. Despite this, Maija Isola managed to persuade her with the stylish print: seeing her work, Armi Ratia sought to include eight of Maija’s designs as part of Marimekko's various collections, including the Vihkiruusu pattern.
